Summer is the perfect season to refresh your home with materials and colors inspired by the beauty of the Inland Northwest. Spokane interior design trends for Summer 2026 focus on creating bright, welcoming spaces that blend natural elements with timeless design. From warm natural stone to organic textures, homeowners are embracing interiors that feel both elegant and comfortable.
Bring the Outdoors Inside
One of the biggest summer design trends is creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. Large windows, open floor plans, and natural materials help blur the line between your home’s interior and the surrounding landscape.
Natural wood cabinetry, stone surfaces, and woven textures continue to grow in popularity. Together, they create spaces that feel warm, relaxed, and connected to nature.
Light, Airy Color Palettes
Summer calls for colors that reflect natural light and create an open, spacious feeling. Soft whites, warm creams, sandy beiges, and gentle greige tones remain popular choices throughout Spokane homes.
To add personality, many homeowners are incorporating muted sage greens, dusty blues, and earthy terracotta accents through décor, tile, or cabinetry. These colors complement the Northwest landscape while maintaining a timeless appeal.
Natural Stone Continues to Shine
Natural stone remains one of the most sought-after materials for kitchens and bathrooms. Taj Mahal Quartzite continues to be a favorite because of its warm ivory background and subtle veining. It pairs beautifully with white cabinetry, natural wood finishes, and brushed brass hardware.
Homeowners also appreciate the flexibility of choosing either polished or leathered finishes, depending on the desired look and level of texture.
Beautiful Quartz Alternatives
For families who love the appearance of natural stone but prefer easier maintenance, engineered quartz continues to be an excellent option.
Products like MSI Ivorytaj and MSI Solitaj offer the warm elegance of Taj Mahal Quartzite while providing exceptional durability for busy kitchens and bathrooms. These surfaces deliver timeless beauty with less maintenance, making them ideal for everyday living.
Layering Texture Creates Interest
Rather than relying on bold colors, today’s interiors use texture to add warmth and dimension. Mixed metals, natural wood, handmade tile, fluted cabinetry, and soft fabrics create visual interest without overwhelming a room.
This layered approach allows each design element to complement the next, resulting in spaces that feel sophisticated yet inviting.
